Icheon Ceramics Certification Program

The Icheon Ceramics Certification Program is

a brand recognition system that strengthens the connection with customers by realizing the "product value of the Icheon Ceramics brand." It is expected to contribute significantly to creating the 3-UP effect, which will increase the competitiveness of the Icheon City ceramics industry by promoting new consumption, building trust in Icheon City ceramics, and raising the status of Icheon City ceramics.

3-UP Effect

  • Building a business foundation (Business UP) Building a sustainable business foundation for Icheon City pottery by promoting consumption.
  • Providing a trust value base (Quality UP) Providing customer trust value that is unique to Icheon City pottery by realizing high-quality and high-end products through the certification system.
  • Position and image enhancement (Position UP) Enhancing the product value of the Icheon pottery brand through the certification system to uplift the position and image of the Icheon pottery brand.

I-CERA Brand Certification System

  • It is desirable for Icheon City to decide on the direction of a certification system that judges/evaluates/determines the quality standards of excellent ceramic products in the region, and grants usage rights. However, it is assumed that the direction and method define the certification system, and that the meaning accepted by customers is not much different from the certification system.
  • The subjects of the certification evaluation include registered ceramic businesses (craftsmen) and sole proprietorships that reside and have production facilities in the Icheon City area, or products produced by such businesses.
  • The I-CERA brand certification mark applies to the certified products, i.e. ceramic products, but to evaluate them, a multidimensional certification evaluation must be conducted by introducing a holistic quality evaluation method that includes the person (craftsman/business) who made the product in the certification evaluation field, rather than limiting it to ceramic products.
  • The I-CERA Brand Recognition System shall evaluate the person (artisan/company) who made the product to recognize his/her reputation, indicate the raw materials and techniques separately on the certified product, and allow the use of the I-CERA Brand Certification Mark only for products that have been certified by an inspection agency for safety testing of hazardous substances.
