Lee Su Heung’s origin was Yeonan. He was called Joaseong or Seongjo in childhood. He was born in Jangjeon-dong and graduated from Shanghai Military Academy. He worked for a member of the independent movement of the Manchuria Governmental Army (a group in Manchuria worked for the independence of Korea from Japan). He came back to Korea in 1926 to attack Seoul Dongsomun Branch Office and the Japanese Police Substation in Hyeonbang-ri, Baeksa-myeon. He was arrested and lynched as he worked for making money for the independent movement of Korea.
