| According to Donggukyeojiseungram
(a record of history) "Seolbongsan
is a Jinsan located 2km west of Bu"
and it is shaped like a crane with its
wings widely open when looked at from
its peak. It surrounds Icheon and is
not steep, but it is meticulous and
there are rocks and forests near the
main peaks. There is the Namcheon fortress
wall site, which was built by General
Yu-Sin Kim for the reunification of
three kingdoms, and there are remains,
such as Youngwolam. Its height is . |

| Wonjeoksan |

: Songmal-ri Gyeongsa-ri Baeksa-myun |
|
| Taewhasan (645m) and Baekmasan (530m)
are located north of the mountain range,
which is divided from Hannamjeongmaek,
and Wonjeoksan is located over Neok
hill, which connects Gwangju and Icheon.
Its range is smooth and slow but there
is a rock cliff on the inner side of
Cheondeokbong and its highest peak,
Cheondeokbong, is 634m high. Gyeongsari
village, which is the beginning point
for trekking, is famous for Sansuyu.
It is covered with Sansuyu in spring
and you may see people gathering its
fruits in autumn. You can see Youngwonsa,
which was founded by monk Haebeop during
the period of Seondeok, queen of the
Shilla dynasty (638), if you follow
the northern valley path. |

| Baekjoksan |

| It is a Jinsan of Janghowon-eup and
it is 402m high. There is a centipede
cave, where a centipede with 100 legs
lived, this is where it got the name
of Baekjok. Legend has it that the tomb
of Ja-Jeom Kim's father, which is located
in on the south foot of the mountain,
is in the shape of a gold ring. Even
though other areas fell strong winds
there is no wind here. According to
the record of Donggukyeojiseungram,
Seoknamsa and Baekjoksa were there and
this may tell us that there was a Jeon
in the mountain but it cannot be found
now. |

| Maguksan |

|
| Maguksan is 444m high, it has multiple
mountain ranges, is steep and has a
deep valley. It is located west of Moga-myun
and its south-east is connected to Seolseong-myun
and its south west is connected to Iljuk-myun
Anseong-gun. There are rocks with legends
such as Guk, Byungpung, Mal and Gumo
rock, and it is located in the remote
area of Sannae-ri and Daejuk-ri. The
complicated mountain range has a legend
about a fox wanting to become a human,
the 99 valleys of Maguksan and the ritual
for rain was held here. |

| Jeomyungsan
(Dodeuramsan) |

| The mountain is not big but it has
a great trekking path where you can
walk through great sceneries of rocks
and cliffs so there are a lot of visitors
at weekends. A son was gathering Seoki
mushrooms to cure his mother's disease
on a cliff when he suddenly heard a
wild boar so he climbed back up and
found out that his rope was nearly cut
off. Ever since then it has been told
that the mountain spirit saved the son's
life so it was called Dotuleumsan (pig
crying sound) then later changed to
Dodeuramsan. |

| Hyoyangsan |

| According to the record of Donggukyeojiseungram,
it is located east of Bu. The mountain
range from Chungcheongbukdo has its
peak in the south so it was called "Suyangsan"
A person with the surname of Seo lived
in the mountain and he was a very dutiful
son. This is why it is called "Hyoyangsan".
There are two villages on both sides
of the mountain foot, and the village
located at the front is Bubal-eup and
the village behind is Sanchon-ri. It
is a small mountain but has many famous
legends of 'firewood gatherers and deer'
as well as 'the gold calf of Hyoyangsan'. |

| Yanggaksan |

| It is a mountain located at the boundary
of Majang-myun and Sindun-myun and its
two sharp peaks will remind you of lamb
horns. This is why it is called "Yanggaksan".
Its height is 384m. |

| Noseongsan |

| This is a mud wall which ignited
the competition between Baekje, Shilla
and Goguryeo, and the old record says
"Nosungsan is a guardian mountain
of Eumjukheon and a spiritual mountain".
A horse appeared on its own in between
Noseongsan, Maguksan and Seolseongsan
and the three Generals stationed in
each mountain competed to have the horse.
They then decided to fight with the
winners taking the head, body and tail
of the horse. Later the General from
Noseongsan took the head, the General
from Maguksan took the body and the
General from Seolseongsan took the tail.
Thus the rock located at the peak of
Nosungsan is called Malmeori rock. The
height of the mountain is 310m and you
can see Gamgok Chungbuk, Anseong Iljuk,
Yeoju and Yangpyeong on a clear day. |

| Jeongaesan |

| A wide hill, which had been a gate
connecting Icheon and Seoul, is located
horizontally, and the remaining sites
of prehistoric age are seen in Jiseok-ri
Sindun-myun and there was a government
office in Jangdong-ri. The height of
the mountain is about 406m. |

| Waryongsan |

| It has the shape of a dragon laying
down and so it is called "Waryongsan".
There is a gold vein in back of the
mountain and paddy fields in four directions
add a sense of richness. There are many
scenic areas such as Jangbu and Geondeul
rock. |

| This is in the shape of a dragon
flying into the sky riding clouds, when
clouds stay in the middle of the mountain
range after it has rained. |

The height of the mountain is 341m
and Wolpo-ri and Chunggok-ri are located
with in the center of the mountain and
the mountain range stretches out to
Godang 3-ri. It is the guardian mountain
of Yul-myun, which is known for having
ideal spots in the region.
It is shaped like a crow eating a dead
body so it is called "Imosan",
by using the word 'o' meaning crow.
Its name Imosan has been made from stories
telling of one who arrived at the mountain
while sleeping. |
