of Cultural Art, Icheon - International Sculpture
Symposium
Icheon is famous for its ceramics from all over
the world. It is a city of cultural art, so there
is a festival that is opened every year to make
a sculpture park. The festival is called the Icheon
International Sculpture Symposium.
The artists who are actively working in the areas
of Icheon become the main focus in this event. It
was started by the theme of "Love and Peace" in
July of 1998. Twenty-four artists from 18 countries
in August of 1999, 15 artists from 11 countries
in September of 2000, and 13 artists from 13 countries
in September of 2001 were invited. Through displays
and field workshops, higher-quality products are
shown to the public as each year goes. |
