Ceramic that Ceramic Culture is Fueling, Icheon
Every year, the ceramic festival is opened to view
ceramic art's past, present, and future. Through
the opportunity of opening 2005 World Ceramic Exposition
Foundation the season of exhibition changed from
fall to spring. More tourists come and fanciful
beauty is added.
Specifically, new themes of fields can fill the
curiosity of people in each year. Many traditional
cultures of the world and beautiful art pieces can
be seen. Also the visitors can participate in the
ceramic production process and firing the traditional
pot. The Ceramic Festival does not only show the
artists' exhibits, but also provides a ceramic outlet
operation, ceramic class setup, firing and taking
off of traditional pots so people can enjoy watching
the rich and various shows. |
Based on
the history of ceramic, a play called "Art of Spirit"
and quizzes about ceramic arts will attract the
visitors' attention. Also the "ceramic quiz show"
that offers various pieces of ceramic as prizes
and "Ceramic Corner Contest that I Make" will provide
a good education. Tourists will also be attracted
to the "Flowers and Ceramics" which is displayed
in the subject of flower and ceramics and "Traditional
Tea Trial" that has the purpose of promoting traditional
teas.
(Also "World Ceramic Biennale" that is opened every
2 years connects Icheon with Gwangju which plays
a big role of carrying on Korean ceramic art's greatness
to the world) |
